Does anyone have any interesting ideas for easy, yet delicious appetizers? We often end up on the dock and need ideas of things to serve beyond cheeses and pates.

Think of pleasing kids, perhaps. Celery spread with peanut butter and raisins becomes "ants on a log". Raw vegetables with dip is an easy put together. (Dip? Onion soup mix in sour cream.) How about bites of fruit with dip? (Dip? Sweet yogurt). If meat is your druther, how about rolling cold cuts, skewering each one with a tooth pick to hold it's pretty shape.
How about carrot curls? Use a peeler to shave lengths of carrot into ice water. (Oh, gee, I only read about this! But the cold holds the shape, even if you have to curl the bits, first.)
